Computing & Technology

Computers are available with social distancing measures in place to minimize close contact with others. Please be advised that:

  • Computers are limited and are on a first come, first served basis.
  • Library computers are NOT equipped with web cameras.
  • Students will need to bring their own headphones, ear buds, or headsets to connect to audio ports. PCs are not Bluetooth enabled for wireless connection.

Librarians provide assistance with basic computing technology, specifically the software/hardware installed and in use within the library. Students seeking in-depth help with online courseware and other learning technology (Laulima, Zoom, etc.) will be referred back to their instructors for support.

We will make every effort to assist when possible.

Library Announcements and Updates

Aloha and welina mai!  When visiting the library in person, please...

  • Check-in at the counter and scan your UH ID card.
  • Wear a face covering/mask securely over your nose and mouth.
  • Practice physical distancing of at least 6 feet.
  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • No food or drinks are allowed.
  • Limit your COVID exposure risk by completing your visit in a timely manner.
  • Return books in the outside book drop next to the library's front entrance.

Scan & Deliver Service (Course Reserves)

  • Submit Requests Here
    The library is providing digital scanning of course reserve materials, as a temporary service related to expanded online teaching and COVID-19 restrictions. PDF scans will be delivered to your UH email account.

    This service is limited to small portions of books within our Reserve Collection. Requests are evaluated in order to comply with rights under copyright law and Fair Use practices for private study, research, and scholarship.
    • Small portion = page range, a chapter, and/or supplementary content (approx. 10%)
    • Each page range or chapter requires a separate request
    • Limit one request per day
    • Average delivery time is 1-3 business days
    • Requests encompassing the entire work will be cancelled
    • Contact a librarian directly for questions or specific instructions
