ALICE=Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. This report, commissioned by Aloha United Way, showed that 48 % of Hawai'i households are ALICE and below, and 11% are below the poverty level.

A research study on on homeless and runaway youth in Hawaiʻi, by the UH Mānoa Center on the Family, Waikīkī Health and Hale Kipa. Youth are at a higher risk of becoming homeless than adults, and older youth (aged 18-24) are among the fastest growing homeless populations.
